Welcome to Spofford Press!
We are a custom letterpress print shop located in Warwick, RI. This is our 1st year of operation, and we are very excited about the projects, collaborations, and prints that are happening here!
We intend on using this blog in a few ways. We would like to keep a timeline and document projects and happenings at the shop as well as post updates about the printing process as we figure some of it out. The experimental side of Spofford Press is that we are printing letterpress and relief work on an etching press. While it certainly can be done and we have great success with it, I plan on "talking shop" a little and posting updates as we figure new and improved ways of printing our work!
